The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the overall management of energy from waste facility for mechanical, electrical, & Instrumentation / control activities.
This includes long term and daily planning & scheduling of all maintenance activities on boiler, turbine-generators, material handling, & balance of plant equipment.
This position is responsible to directly supervise mechanics, technicians, and contractors performing preventive and corrective maintenance as well as outages and projects.
This individual must possess the ability to create an environment that empowers employees to drive system improvements as well as the ability to train employees on proper maintenance work & trouble shooting.
The individual will be responsible for providing annual budgeting information and monthly forecasting updates.
To be considered for this position the qualified individual must have a HS Diploma/GED and a solid background in power or industrial plant maintenance including a minimum of 7 years of first line supervisory experience and experience in planning and coordinating major maintenance/overhaul projects.
Prior Energy from Waste experience preferred.
Familiarity with ALM, PeopleSoft and scheduling tools are required.
Must be able to identify needs for improvement & implement change, have knowledge of maintenance budgeting and methodologies, be able to manage spare parts inventory to optimum levels.
Must possess strong communication, organization and computer skills.
Formal technical training, and/or a college degree are a plus.
