NOWON is in search of a high-performing Sales Engineer to join the team in its Azusa, CA operation. The Sales Engineer will report directly to the President of Operations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for continued market development, sales, proposals, and equipment integration in various industries. The selected candidate will serve as the technical support for the sales process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to initial prospect/lead contact, technical presentations, market analysis, development and review of project proposals, and integration/implementation of projects to ensure their success. The Sales Engineer will also have direct interaction with lab operations to oversee lab testing. The selected candidate will participate in a 2-week training session in Madrid, Spain to gain familiarity with the technology, company principles and latest developments. Follow up visits to Madrid will also be done as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage existing prospect pipeline while maintaining a robust list of leads
Initiate contact with new leads
Generate new leads/prospects based on focused strategies
Identify and approach new markets
Become familiar with technology from an operational and safety perspective
Evaluate the technology integration opportunities with prospective clients
Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations, focusing on the technical benefits
Develop and deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers as needed
Perform feasibility and operating cost analyses for equipment and all processes
Perform energy input/output analyses and mass balances to determine equipment compatibil
Participate in meetings, and conference calls with staff and clients
Attend industry Trade Shows and Conferences as needed
Identify and apply for industry/technology relevant grants
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Minimum 5 years sales experience
Sales experience within Waste Industry is a plus (Organics)
Experience in engineering is ideal
Knowledge of Industrial mechanics and processes, preferably in the food or waste industry
Experience with project development, energy optimization and alternative technologies
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executives, and technical personnel
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Entrepreneurial, investigative, and creative spirit
Able to work independently and carry out assignments to completion
Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Proficient with CRM platform such as Salesforce
Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite of products
BA/BS degree in Business, Sales, Engineering or equivalent
Additional Salary Information: Total Salary includes base salary and commission.
