NOWON is in search of a high-performing Project Manager to join the team in its Azusa, CA operation. The Project Manager will report directly to the President of Operations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing key client projects, according to project scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Manager will develop detailed project plans ensuring resource availability and allocation. The selected candidate will participate in the sales process as necessary to understand project scope and requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to oversight of all phases of a project, including coordinating team members, customers, contractors, vendors and other stake holders as necessary, so that all projects are delivered with high quality service, on time, and within budget. The selected candidate will participate in a 2-3 week training program in Madrid, Spain to gain familiarity with NOWON’s Technology, company principles, and latest developments. Other travel will include visits to customer sites, conference/show attendance, meetings with regulatory agencies and consultants, and other meetings, as necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties
Plan and manage activities/tasks and resources for projects
Manage project team and work load
Participate in sales process as projects develop
Understand and manage project financials and budgets
Create and manage comprehensive project reports and documentation
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Coordinate communication and transactions with, vendors, consultants, public agencies and project stake holders
Manage the relationships with clients and stakeholders
Develop and deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers as needed
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Become familiar with technology from an operational and safety perspective
Participate in meetings, and conference calls with staff and clients
Attend industry Trade Shows and Conferences as needed
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience
Project Management experience within Biogas, Renewable Energy or Waste Industry (Organics) is a plus
Experience in engineering is ideal
Knowledge of Industrial mechanics and processes, preferably in the waste or biogas industry
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Solid organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking
Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executives, and technical personnel
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude, and providing exemplary customer service
Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite of products
Proficient in Project Management software such as MS Project or SmartSheet
Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations
BA/BS degree in Business, Sales, Engineering or equivalent
