The City of College Station is looking for a seasoned leader to guide our Solid Waste collection division as we provide accredited services to the 124,000+ residents of College Station. Our vibrant community continues to grow requiring an experienced professional to bring energy, innovation, safety-conscious dedication to our team of public servants.
Under general direction of the Assistant Director of Public Works, the Solid Waste Division Manager plans, supervises, manages and operates the Municipal Solid Waste and Recycling operations ensuring collection methods are in compliance with applicable local, State and Federal laws.

Required: Bachelor's Degree in a field related to area of assignment such as business or logistics; and five (5) years previous experience and/or training that includes solid waste collection, environmental compliance, and supervision; or the equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Valid Texas Driver’s License. MS Office proficiency including Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience working with route managing and work management software. Obtain and maintain a Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) certification in collections or managing solid waste systems within one (1) year.
