The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one regular, full-time Senior/Principal Civil Engineer (Solid Waste Engineer) position located within the Integrated Waste Management Division at the Department of Community Services. This position is located at theYolo County Central Landfill. The candidate selected will be placed at the Senior or Principal level depending on their background and experience, and at the discretion of the appointing authority. The salary range for each classification level is as follows:
Principal Civil Engineer: $116,977.95 - $142,191.71 Annually

Senior Civil Engineer
Education: Graduation from college or a university with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering; AND Experience: Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Civil Engineer.
Principal Civil Engineer
Education: Graduation from college or a university with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering; AND Experience: Five (5) years of full-time experience as a registered Civil Engineer performing difficult and complex civil engineering projects. Two years of this experience must be in management capacity. A Masters Degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
Certificate/License: Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers;(Non-California applicants must be registered as Civil Engineers in the State of residence, meet the five-year experience requirement as a registered civil engineer, and must obtain registration from the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers within nine (9) months of hire).
CA Driver's License Positions in this classification require incumbents to possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, Class C or higher, to carry out job related duties. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a physical or mental disability may request a reasonable accommodation.
