This class drives and operates all road construction and maintenance-of-way equipment as assigned daily, including highly complex and specialized equipment.
Operates heavy-wheeled and tracked equipment to perform day-to-day activities; may operate "bucket truck"
Operates light to heavy equipment to perform finish grade work to construct or repair ponds, dams, berms, drainage, slopes, sand drainage layers, roads, bridges, and/or other related items
Calculates proper amounts of materials required for applicable jobs
Prepares and maintains logs and records of work activity, equipment utilization, performance standards, and/or other related items
Utilize transit and laser levels to establish grades
Performs other duties as assigned
Training and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) and at least four years of equipment operation or road construction experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Class "A" commercial driver's license
