Operations, Solid Waste Services, Transfer Station
Kitsap County Public Works Solid Waste Division is looking for a motivator, a proven communicator and an experienced professional in this field to oversee and lead the Transfer System Programs in Kitsap County!
Position Information Manage facilities and operations for the County-owned and contractor-operated Olympic View Transfer Station (OVTS), the County-owned and operated Hansville, Olalla, and Silverdale Recycling and Garbage Facilities. Responsibilities include ongoing management and oversight of facilities, staff and operations.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in engineering, science, environmental science, physical science or related field; and
Four years of professional experience solid waste management to include one year of specific experience coordinating, developing and managing programs related to the operations of solid waste facilities, disposal and transportation; and
One year of supervisory experience; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the desired knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the work.
