The RDKB is currently seeking applications for the NEW position of Landfill Supervisor - Boundary with the Environmental Services Department. This is a benefitted, full-time position, based in Grand Forks, BC and is newly added to the expanding Solid Waste Management team.

Reporting to the Solid Waste Operations Supervisor, the Landfill Supervisor contributes to the effective operation of Solid Waste Management Facilities across multiple locations in the Boundary through supervision of waste acceptance, screening and scale operation. The Landfill Supervisor will be responsible for staff scheduling and training, on-site coordination of contract and agreements, training staff, safety, reviewing sales and other duties that ensure the effective operations of solid waste sites.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• 5 years related experience that includes experience with waste management information systems
• 2 years supervisory experience
• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) certification – SWANA
• Contract management training
• Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License
• Level 1 First Aid
