The North Texas Municipal Water District is seeking a skilled and strategic leader ready to move its Information Technology Department forward. The right fit for this position will possess technical knowledge and a sound understanding of relevant IT systems, including maintaining and securing them properly. They will also have proven experience utilizing enterprise solutions to improve organizational efficiency, drive data visibility for operations management, and develop dashboards for the executive team. Cybersecurity is a mission-critical function for today’s critical infrastructure. The prospective candidate should be well-versed in advanced network security. Knowledge of GIS systems will also serve the position well, as will experience exploring and evaluating software to meet an organization’s needs.
District leaders need an Assistant Deputy skilled in identifying and executing important projects and strategic initiatives on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals. They should foster innovation within their department, enjoy mentoring and developing their staff, and feel comfortable having difficult conversations with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field with a master’s degree preferred and at least 10 years of related experience, including five in a supervisory leadership capacity that includes IT planning and development. Candidates must also have a valid Texas driver’s license.
The North Texas Municipal Water District is offering a salary range of $147,284 to $217,980 for this executive position, based on experience and qualifications.
