Under administrative direction, the Waste Management Program Manager II directs and manages a major section for Waste Management and Recycling; and coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, outside agencies, and the general public.
A Bachelor's Degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university.
AND
Two years of full-time, paid management level experience in a waste management and/or recycling program with primary responsibility for development and oversight of solid waste planning, recycling, or hazardous materials and hazardous waste programs.
Note: Additional full-time paid experience supervising professional level staff engaged in planning, developing, or implementing waste management and/or recycling/resource recovery programs may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. (2080 hours is equal to 30 units)
