 The City of Stephenville is seeking an Assistant Director of Public Works who is an excellent fit for the organization, can multi-task, and is a Registered Professional Engineer. This person should have a comprehensive knowledge of the standard practices and procedures of civil engineering and construction, particularly as it pertains to municipal infrastructure including transportation systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, storm sewer systems, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and solid waste. 
 This position requires a bachelor&#8217;s degree in civil engineering or a related field and licensing as a Texas Registered Professional Engineer. The selected candidate should have three to five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal engineering, project management, and maintenance of public works infrastructure. Experience in a supervisory capacity is preferred, as well as a familiarity with pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations governing municipal infrastructure. A valid Texas driver&#8217;s license and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required. 
 The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $103,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

 Independently write engineering reports and opinions for clients regarding recovery facilities, proformas, viability of approaches, layouts, technologies, field tests, etc. that are standard to engineering best practices; 
 Onsite management of waste sorts, material flow studies, facility feasilbity assessments and construction observation; 
 Lead efforts to develop equipment and facility design, technical specifications and procurement documents; 
 Provide strategic assistance to equipment providers; 
 Complete due diligence evaluation for facilities and/or equipment, and 
 
 Design and implement recovery system field tests to meet client specific protocols and aid in the development of recycling systems Key Qualifications:  
 
 Solid Waste, Recovery, and Recycling operational and / or engineering experience is essential; 
 Organic processing and experience a plus; 
 Strong knowledge and understanding the trajectory of equipment and equipment technology innovation deployed in recycling and waste processing; 
 Proven experience in working with equipment providers, operators and customers in the field; 
 Good industry knowledge and contacts; 
 Hands on background &#8211; likes to work on field projects, experience in industrial settings, procurement and construction planning, construction oversight and possessing some mechanical abilities; 
 Experience with capital project development; and
