Performs all functions related to the collection, segregation, stabilization, packaging, labeling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste collected from Fairfax County residents through the Fairfax County Household Hazardous Waste Solid Waste Management Program. Responds to questions and telephone calls from citizens and Fairfax County-based businesses. Conducts all necessary analytical testing methods to ensure proper waste characterization. Performs lab packing for chemical disposal, assists in the coordination of the monthly pickup of hazardous materials by the county-approved hazardous waste disposal vendor, assists in recycling various waste streams as part of county waste minimization initiatives, assists in conducting business hazardous waste disposal events (CESQGs), and maint
